SCUGOG CHRISTIAN SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Dear Friends of Scugog Christian School:

We are writing to introduce you to the newly-formed Scugog Christian School Alumni Association. We are a group of alumni parents who still feel passionate about this school community and desire to remain connected.

As we met and talked, we realized there might be more people like us who have experienced the Scugog Christian School community as family, and perhaps desire also to reconnect. We discovered to our amazement that over 300 kids, representing about 130 families have passed through our doors since 1987!

We were reminded of the scriptures as we talked, and how one generation was called to pass on to another the wonders and works of God’s mighty hand. Sometimes we find that during our busy lives, there is not always enough sharing between generations, and not enough reflecting on the faithfulness of God through the seasons of our lives. So that is why we’ve decided to form this Association.

In August 2009 we sent out our first edition of the "scs connection", an alumni newsletter.  We are planning to send out an edition each August and February.

We would love to hear from you! Do you have a memory from your Scugog days or an interesting piece trivia from the past or present that you would like to share with others? We would love to know where you are now and what you are doing! We hope to mail out a newsletter two or three times a year, and your input would be greatly appreciated.

We want to celebrate the present as well, and give praise to our Creator for the things He has done at SCS and continues to do in and through this community.
