Each year all the students in the school aredivided into groups called School Tribes.  Tribes are made up of students  from every grade with as many tribes as there are grade eight students who are the tribe leaders. Early in September the tribes meet to choose a tribe name based on the school theme for the year.  Later they get together to make posters representing their tribes.  A number of events take place throughout the year with the school tribes including Accelerated Reader challenges and Hundreds Day events.
