At Scugog Christian School, it is our primary aim to help students grow in their love for the Lord and their desire to serve Him completely. Through its educational program, Scugog Christian School aspires to help each student make his/her service to God as effective as possible. These, then, are the goals of Scugog Christian School:

Spiritually we strive:

• To lead our students to a deep love for faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour:

• To encourage our students to discover and use their God-given talents to serve Him completely;

• To develop in our students a Christian maturity based on a Biblical education so that they may grow in knowledge and discernment.

Intellectually we strive:

• To help our students discover and develop their God-given intellectual abilities;To develop in our students sound reasoning abilities, research skills as well as creative and critical thinking skills.

• To impart to our students the necessary knowledge and skills so that they can adapt to a rapidly changing society and serve effectively in it.

Emotionally we strive:

• To help our students see themselves as unique people, created by God in His own image and loved deeply by Him;

• To help our students achieve emotional stability based upon a healthy relationship with Christ;

• To help develop in our students positive attitudes towards self, situations and others.

Socially we strive:

• To foster in our students respect, courtesy and love;

• To encourage our students to take responsibility and show concern for the rights and needs of others as image bearers of Christ;

• To develop in our students a respect for and an appreciation of authority.

Physically we strive:

• To help our students discover and develop their God-given physical abilities;

• To encourage our students to care for their bodies as Godʼs temples;

• To foster in our students an enjoyment of constructive play.
